Pre-PCC St. Louis car #1053
on a fan trip. It is shown on Route 72-Tacoma, a short spur off of Georgia
Avenue. Note there is no loop to turn this single-ended trolley. It reversed
direction at Tacoma on a “Y” type track configuration. The trolley is shown
on Butternut St., just past 4th St., pointing at Blair Road, only a short
distance from Walter Reed Army Hospital.
