TRACTION AROUND NORTH
AMERICA
The oldest PCC in existence,
and the first production PCC ever built, is
Brooklyn & Queens Transit
#1001. Constructed by St. Louis in 1936, it was in service until
1956 and is now at the Shore Line Trolley Museum in EastHaven, Connecticut.
At the time of this photo it was in the middle of a restoration and was
in primer.
