TRACTION AROUND NORTH
AMERICA
This car, Los Angeles Railway
#3001, was Los Angeles' first PCC car. Built by St. Louis in 1937,
it was also the first narrow-gauge PCC, designed to operate on LARy's 3'6"-gauge
track, and upon entering service was christened by Shirley Temple.
It operated until 1963, when it was acquired by the Orange Empire Railway
Museum of Perris, California; it has been fully restored.
