This is looking east on "Main" street on the east side of Clear Lake, IA. Main street at one time was the route for U.S. Highway 18.  A couple of hundred yards behind the photoragapher the main line angled onto the center of Main street for about a mile of running into the old yard and depot in downtown Clear Lake.
