66 on Route D at Vermont

This one has me stumped.  The D line never went to on on Vermont St., nor do I ever recall seeing or reading about any trips that would have gone there.  It would not even have been easy for a D car to get onto Vermont.  And yet, by noticing that there is a safety zone between the tracks, we see that cars regularly turned back here, wherever here is.  I need a 1947 phone book!
