I seem to remember that gas station, which at one time sold Signal gasoline (who remembers THAT brand?), as being on the east side of Vermont just a block or three north of Vernon Avenue.  That would place it quite near Manual Arts High School, my alma mater. The Luddites don't know what they are missing, but I sure wish we had the cars back.
