Los Angeles Railway
1284 at Sunset & Spring
The 7 line was interesting
(or dull, depending on you perception) because there was, fundamentally,
only one curve on the entire line, which ran from Sunset and Spring to
116th and Broadway. That curve was a gentle soft turn just south
of Santa Barbara on Broadway. There was also some jogging around
in the area of 9th and 10th Streets, but that really doesn't count.
The 7 line was the only
line the could handle the experimental cars of the 2600 class, which otherwise
gave trouble because of their great overhang on curves.
