Los Angeles Railway
1432 on Route 5 at 67th
Street & Crenshaw
The Ford is on San Fernando
Road. Behind the Ford, following San Fernando Road, we would come
to Taylor Yard of the SP, and the world-famed Purina Mill about which Ray
Younghans wrote so eloquently in his more than occasional missives to the
company. A sound it made like no other. The LA County Jail
is a block or three away behind the photographer. Just to the right was
the small dog/news stand where I used to wait when we lived in Morningside
Park.
