1439 at the Division 4 yard

Al was a motorman for LATL, and often operated our charter cars.  He later became a dreaded supervisor, and ultimately rose to a position in the main office of LATL/LAMTA.  He was dearly loved by all of us.  He was a character. Once, on Spring St. in downtown, a LOL boarded and asked him if it was a 7 car.  He carefully helped her down the steps, looked at the roof sign with her, read the dash sign with her, and concluded, "Yes, ma'am, I believe it is."  Lazear Israel was riding with me at the time.
