Los Angeles Railway
1446 on Route W at Washington
& Figueroa
Note the Studebaker dealership.
I wish I could remember all their names, but this area of Figueroa (onto
which the car is turning) was a hotbed of car dealers, and for all those
magnificent makes: Studebaker, Nash, Kaiser-Frazier and Hudson. One
could even buy a Henry J on that street. Ah, where have they all
gone? Sucked into the morass of the "Big 3." I used to look
longingly at the cars. Now I look longingly at the streetcars.
