1523 at 35th Street & Grand
Assuming the location to be correct, this has to be a 5 car or an F car.  I vote for the 5, because of the two line dash sign. 35th and Grand was just south of Jefferson and Grand, at one time the main office of the DMV in Los Angeles.  It was on an F car at that location that I left my first slide camera, an Argus C-3, being nervous about going to the DMV office to get my first driver's license, particularly since I had to state that I was 21 (which was then the legal age without parental permission) and I was only 20.  There is much more to the story than that, incidentally.
