2158 is seen north on 9th Street at Snyder Avenue in 1961. Trolleybus
overhead and switches were installed for route 79 but the trackage on Snyder
Avenue from 4th to Broad still remained intact. Route 79, the next-to-last
double-end car line, got trolleybuses after 5 years as a bus line. Route
47 went bus in 1969 and was rerouted north on 7th Street and extended south
to Whitman Plaza.
